Thesis
PrivateDAO is private decision infrastructure for trading groups, treasury committees, and strategy operators who need to approve high-impact actions without leaking conviction before execution.
Why this fits Drift Side Track
Trading organizations often need to coordinate decisions before public execution without leaking internal conviction too early.
PrivateDAO addresses that directly:
- hidden votes during the decision window
- deterministic reveal and finalize phases
- execution only after explicit timelock
- treasury action validation on-chain
- real product surfaces for web and Android-native review
Drift-relevant use cases
- treasury rebalancing approvals
- strategy deployment approvals
- risk committee decisions
- emergency governance with delayed execution discipline
- committee votes that should not expose live tally momentum
Strongest reviewer angle
This is not generic DAO branding for a side track. It is a governance primitive that maps naturally onto trading and treasury coordination where premature signal leakage is harmful.
Submission emphasis
Lead with the signaling problem:
- public vote visibility leaks intent
- leaked intent can distort execution context
- PrivateDAO preserves decision privacy until reveal while keeping execution auditable
Then make the limitation explicit:
- the repository is the control plane, not the full Drift strategy engine
- that is a strength when presented honestly, because it shows exactly where the protocol adds differentiated value
